random jimmy eat world quote. i am listening to the black market jimmy eat world live at la scala cd (eat your hearts out, because it is not available in stores - aw, the benefits of having a radio station boyfriend) and i have to say that, despite a draught of not seeing them live in many months, my devotion to this band is not waning. i cannot wait to see jim adkins & co. again someday soon, and perhaps even throw my panties onstage.

speaking of jimmy, i was sporting my favorite j.e.w. t-shirt at disneyland yesterday and it was the catalyst for a very strange incident with a cast member. as my friend and i were boarding the roger rabbit cartoon spin, the guy who was working the ride aggressively accused j.e.w. of stealing that very logo which i was proudly displaying across my bosom. they took it from the deftones, he said. i was so shocked that i could do little more than shoot the boy a disdainful look. at that moment our spinny taxi burst forth from the loading dock, and then the kid must have felt bad, because in front of cast members and park guests alike, he yelled after our retreating cab, "hey, i like jimmy!" and to prove himself, he added (quoting their latest single) a heartfelt, "oh-oh-oh-ohohoh!"

weird.

despite ill-mannered ride attendants and an embarassing incident in which my friend ran smack into a guy in a wheelchair (i swear, no one hates the handicapped like joe hatton), it was quite a wonderful day at my favorite place on earth. i feel a lot more settled and back home after my first visit since the italian odyssey.

i fell asleep watching the film cool hand luke last night with some friends (side note: who ever knew paul newman was such a heartthrob?). when another friend found out this morning, she said i was either really sleepy, or retarded. hmm.
