short post:

home in 22 days. leave for sicily in the morning. see mike and dom on sunday. london/scotland trip to follow. then tail end of italy time. this is making for weirdness because even since i finished the centro class, i hardly ever speak italian. i might as well be in america. the fact that my university is here feels just like a coincidence. think that contributes to the fact that, though i am content here, am impatient for home.

am sick today which makes me miss home a lot.

am worried about unemployment.

on good side: got an r.a. placement in deans' halls.

freshmen boys, here i come.

talk to you after sicily...

this is a not real post. this is just me venting briefly about the frustration of trying to get things done at this school. it is impossible. nothing - the computer lab, the library, the offices - is open for decent, or even consistent, hours. i am trying to secure housing for next year, work on a presentation, and send off resumes and get my class schedule together for tomorrow and it is just not happening.

speaking of my class schedule - why is every class at usc offered only at 11am or noon on tuesday and thursday mornings? journalism, italian, comparative lit, english, religion, photography, theatre - it doesn't matter. even SLAVIC LANGUAGES AND CULTURE. what? i'm one of three people in a university of 30,000 who wants to take a class from this department, and still it doesn't work out.

damn you, university of southern california schedule of classes. damn you.
