one last thing: i just have to say that the new hey mercedes cd is phenomenal. they are coming back to l.a. in december - yesssss! - and i can't wait. i am listening to to "haven't been this happy" right now, and i have to say, bob nanna, you are a genius. and, based on my observations during the few emails and meetings we've shared, you are a nice guy too, so rock on.

in the words of my partner in crime and party co-hostess, the first annual mike, lindy and shannon's halloween costume bash was "a wild success". first of all, mike's apartment looked great, thanks to his extensive haunted mansion experience, the help of his roommates, and a little bit of pixie dust. the boys covered the walls and ceiling in black plastic tarp and covered it with evil messages and pictures that glowed under the blacklights. guests were frightened nearly to death by such messages as "sacrifice everyone" and such images as salt being torturously poured onto an innocent snail. also, the jack-o-lanterns we carved were stupendous, especially one skull and crossbones pumpkin made by my friend, who is an artistic genius.

we also had a lot of beer, which was great, and seven-layer dip with tortilla chips. the boys mocked our girlyness when we first brought it in, but guests were raving about it all night, almost as much as much as the decorations, so take that, evil boys.

and best of all, the guest turn-out was great, and the costumes were plentiful and wonderful. i'm of course partial to lindy and my costumes, which were hand-made by a friend of hers, with our help, and thus were like children. we had to drive out into the middle of the desert friday night (which is where she lives) and stay all day saturday, barely making it back in time for our own party, while michelle made these wonderful creations.

so lindy was a beautiful angel. the best part was that, because she was dressed completely in white, right down to her real-feather wings, she glowed blindingly all night, making her look like a real angel and also making her easy to find. and i was a spunky, sexy tinker bell, if i do say so myself. i'm going to try to put a picture up this week, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

right now i have to run to english class, so i'll wrap this post up later.
